The big release on my radar this week is from electronic producer Andy Stott who returns with his first album in a few years. His dark, ambient techno feels like a great companion for such strange times. Also on deck is the just-announced new album from the prolific Yung Thug and a remix album of legend Paul McCartney’s record from 2020.
Arcade Fire have also shared a 45-minute piece that is exclusive on Headspace, the meditative app. The song is supposed to provide “meditative vibes to help you focus and feel inspired.”
Lucy Dacus announced a new record, Mick Jagger and Dave Grohl teamed up on a track that is way better than it should be and beats anything on the latest Foo Fighters record, and Justin Vernon has teased a new Big Red Machine album that probably features Taylor Swift.
