Welcome to the first edition of Gold Soundz, your weekly round up of new music. I expect the style and format of this to slowly evolve over time and welcome any feedback along the way. I appreciate you being he from the start. Thanks for signing up!
We’re ending February with a lot of great new music releases. Julien Baker’s new album is one of my most anticipated of the year and the lead singles have me feeling excited to hear her transform her rather intimate sound into something much larger than anything she had done in the past. Way Down in the Rust Bucket is a live Neil Young album from 1990 that is being released as part of his ever expanding Archives project and features the live debut of tracks from Ragged Glory. It clocks in at about two and a half hours with several tracks stretching past the ten minute mark and there is a DVD of the performance available as well. Dinosaur Jr. also announced a new record and shared the lead single, “I Ran Away,” which features Kurt Vile on twelve-string guitar and Noname has shared her first track of 2021.

I remember you mentioning Julien Baker in an earlier post on IG or Twitter and meant to go listen--and I didn't. But, I just now went to Pandora [I have a great account 'cause of Sam] and am so enjoying the album. Appreciate the recommendation.
