As I said a few weeks ago during the aftermath of the election, it’s no surprise that this isn’t a popular week to release new music. Still, the ever-popular phenomenon of Record Store Day is still celebrating the Black Friday edition of the event and if you’re invested in these made-to-be exclusives, there are some worth the interest.
Of course there are no links this week to the albums as they’re all exclusive to indie record shops, but if there’s something that catches your eye, I’m sure you’ll be able to find them online tomorrow or via some secondary markets. However, as always, my call out to everyone is to be weary of buying expensive records that exist just for the sake of being resold at astronomical values.
In addition to the much sought-after exclusives, there are some fun new tracks out this week as well from Brooklyn punks The Men, experimental artist Blue Lake, and dance additions from Disclosure as well as a Nia Archives remix of Jamie xx.
